I'm baaack! I sure hope I didn't lose too many of you by being gone two weeks. I think I mentioned that my office was moving and I simply didn't have time to do anything personal but we're in, settled, I'm home again and I fell like getting my eyes wet. This is the lake up by my house that I post a lot of. The water is low but man, it sure was beautiful yesterday!

I'm trying public transportation to get to work this week so I'm at the mercy of the bus and train when it comes to my time to visit you guys. In the mean time, let's get wet!

First of all I want to wish each of you here in the U.S. a Happy Thanksgiving. To those of you abroad, I say celebrate with us and this Thursday take a moment to count your blessings and give thanks. No matter how things may be for each of us, the fact that we're able to log in and participate in getting our eyes wet means we're far better off than so, so many people. I give thanks for each of you who visit and participate. Thank you!


This isn't a stellar, spectacular shot but it was a fun on. Mr. Turtle was just floating in the lake taking it easy this day.

I'm sorry you guys. Number 100 was going to be a little special and I got really thrown off today. I have plumbing problems that started with a huge bubble in the middle of my kitchen floor. Not exactly the kind of Watery Wednesday I wanted to participate in. And who has money for this!!!??? So anyhoo, I'm posting late and not hardly in the party festival way I planned. Maybe I can do something next week and be in a better mood.

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! To all the regular waders as well as those who are going to get their eyes wet for the first time. Your visits and participation make my Wednesdays, even when I'm not able to visit many of you. I'm posting two shots this week because they're related. It's going to make for a really long post so I hope you forgive me.


The perfect summer day and the lake were just two inviting and relaxing. I think the two fellas in the shot below intended to take full advantage of this perfect Sunday. They went and bought a raft, blew it up there by the shore and not to be turned off by the fact that they didn't have any oars, they had bought a couple of shovels to use as oars. I had the best time watching them and hearing them laugh about the shovels. They didn't get far out into the lake before realizing this just wasn't going to work. They still laughed and had a great time. I thank them for my smile and laughter on Sunday.

I didn't forget to change Mr. Linky this week! I post this one in honor of my co-worker who lost his younger brother this weekend in an automobile accident. My heart goes out to him and his mother and my prayers go up to help them get through their loss. No one knows what tomorrow may bring. Live with no regrets and remember that God loves you. This is another one of my favorite shots. I can't believe I got up early one foggy morning and raced out of the house with my camera to go up to the lake specifically to get some foggy pictures. I love the "mood" that fog creates, especially in black and white.

I hope the person in this photo wouldn't mind me posting this if she were to ever see it. I evied the fact that she climbed up on that boulder and was enjoying her day at the lake. If she was doing homework I'd rather be doing it there than stuck in my room.

The good thing about daylight savings is that right now, if traffic doesn't screw me over I can get home in time to catch the sunset up at the lake. Man, what a beautiful and peaceful few minutes to myself. As you can see in the shot below, there were a few people fishing and enjoying that sunset as well.
