Watery Wednesday #128

Sorry you guys. I had the Mr. Linky code in and I don't know why it didn't post. It's working now.

I almost forgot to post. I was thrown off because Monday was a holiday here in the U.S. - President's Day. I hope my fellow Americans has a nice, safe holiday and that all of you far and wide are ready to get your eyes wet! I am! Thanks again for participating. I still apologize that I'm not able to visit everyone but I sure tried last week. :-)

This is a shot from the botanical garden at the University of Califronia at Riverside (U.C. Riverside). I'm posting two shots this week because I wanted to also show the turtle that was at the end of the log in the picture above.

RULES: Create your Watery Wednesday post first then come back and enter your name and the link to your post in the spaces provided. Next, just have fun visiting the other entrants to see their posts. If you leave a comment they'll know you've visited and will visit you in return. Have fun!

I love the first shot, with the soft light coming through the trees. I can't get the link to work, so I will come back again later.

I think the turtle is the perfect post. He looks so very happy there on this special spot. The composition of both shots is excellent, and the mixture of light and shadow in the first picture is awesome. A beautiful post.

I'm enjoying the different kind of water shot you posted this week, and that great turtle! I happen to have animals in my water shot myself today: http://www.lovethatimage.com/blog/2011/02/blue-heron-and-harbor-seals/

Don't worry about visiting. You just can't do everything, can you?

Your photos are great (as always) and I love the turtles. We can only have them as housepets and I had a very small one when I was a kid (loooong time ago that is ;-) )

The turtle is quite a remarkable, dramatically patterned character! At first, I even thought a pair of glasses were sitting on its shell! Great photos!

The turtle has this look about him: "Hey! Why are you interrupting my nap?"

A SEEKER OF WATER

A seeker of water, they say,
Is likely to savor the day,
If she can find dew,
A few raindrops too—
Or even some vast ocean spray!
