Great shots and the reflection of the other flamingos in the first photo is pretty cool.

Yes, the flamingos are wet indeed and entertaining as well. They are not as pink as the ones I sometimes see on lawns here. ;-)

Beautiful flamingoes.

Nice shots. Like the flamingo dunk and splash of the second shot, though without the first shot we'd be wondering what on earth it was. :)

Love that deep, salmony color! The ones at Busch Gardens in Tampa are that color all over - very impressive when you see a whole mob of them together!

I don't know that I've ever seen flamingos doing anything but standing around, mainly on one leg, but to see them swimming, how neat.
Great shots, Ms Saxy!

I really like your frozen water splash in the second picture. Lovely! Is it true that the feather colour on the Pink Flamingo is from what they eat, small scrimps? Im publish my first watery photo today from an old mining district south of Dalarna in Sweden.

I'm kind of confused. People are posting for the Nov. 10th entry. Is there no new one for this week?

Sara Chapman in Seattle, USA said...

I can hardly believe there are over 100 entries this week. Wow! Uh, oh, now I see that it's this week's and last week's also. I missed last week so I didn't notice.

I've never seen a flamingo up close like that. I had no idea their feathers were varied shades like that, like a peony flower or something. So lovely. Thank you for a great photo duo.

Lovely flamingo, people say they are pink because they eat shrimp( prawns) but I cannot see how this is since shrimp or prawns are only pink when they are cooked otherwize they are grey.

you can check my entry for the 17th here
