If you haven't yet, try this:
*walk with your laptop held under your arm (vertically) and with your arm swinging gently back and forth
*take the battery out and let it sit without it for a few minutes.
One of these worked on ours, though I confess I can't remember which of the two it was.

Sorry about your laptop. Mine is making a dreadful clunky noise, so I bought a netbook. Hoping to make some time to transfer my stuff this weekend. Love the frothy, leafy water shot!

Oh dear! I hope you get your laptop fixed or something. The same thing happened to me last month and thankfully someone managed to fix it somehow.
