Watery Wednesday #39

It's that time of the week! Are you ready? LET'S GET WET!

Thought I should add, this is a camelia that fell from one of the camelia trees along the edge of the stream that runs through Descanso Gardens. I have quite a number of variations of shots like these because I think they're just beautiful.

RULES: Create your Watery Wednesday post first then come back and click on the Mr. Linky link below to access the participation list. Enter your name and the link to your post in the spaces provided. Next, just have fun visiting the other entrants to see their posts. If you leave a comment they'll know you've visited and will visit you in return. Have fun!

You can use the images below when you link back to this post.

Reminder, I start this on Tuesdays because there are parts of the world where Tuesday is already Wednesday.

Did someone toss a rose blossom into the water? Beautiful colour!

Gemma Wiseman said...

O how beautiful! The water creates a silken softness behind the flower!

Is it a flower that lives in the water or a flower that fall in a stream? Water is so clear - that picture smells fresh - roses and running water...

Love the detail of all the wet. Looks like silk, the water. And the pink makes the water even more lovely.

Is is camelia or rose? The color contrast is just beautiful.

The water looks so slickery in this photo - like mineral oil flowing over the rocks. How'd you do that?

Lovely shot! I have to tell you I look for watery shots everywhere and someday I'll find the gorgeous ones like you do. :)

Well, that's just pretty. Very nice work. (And who knows, maybe that Camellia will 'keep' better in that cold water.)

This is splendid! I can't believe all the amazing things you find to photograph! You must live in a gorgeous place. CA right?
Also, I'm considering buying a DSLR and was wondering what camera you use?

It looks so clear and glassy, as if the leaves are encased in acrylic or glass... lovely.

At the Norfolk Botanical Gardens they have a large camellia garden with over 1200 plants. It is so nice because here they bloom in winter.. February.. so we have color even then.

I knew the minute I saw the beautiful Camellia it was Descanso! 2sweet the lighting is just gorgeous here, I am pretty sure I know where this is there is a little stream that runs over by the edge of the Camellia trees but it can be quite dim did you use reflectors? I really really love the lighting for this and the reflection on the water is gorgeous.

" When I write or share something about one of my friends in a posting, I always make sure I send them a copy of it, so they know what was said about them. Today I included information about you and your blog site in my posting, so I thought I should let you know about it as well."

The above paragraph is the first paragraph in an email I sent out today, to all of the owners of blogs whom host "theme days", that I could find email addresses for. But I was unable to find an email address on your blog so that I could include you in the email. The rest of the email is what I posted today on our blog. Go to: www.xanga.com/thehousethatlovebuilt to read it for yourself.

Hopefully, it will then clarify of all of this for you ;-}
