Cool bird with that long bill! I love the color combination of the water and the sand. Very pretty.

Great shot.
What a wonderful shot!
His beak reminds me of those people who grow their finger nails for the Book of World records. :)
Wow, what a wonderful bird, and what a terrific shot!
According to my Audubon field guide for Florida, it looks like a whimbrel, member of the sandpiper family. They need such a long beak in order to pluck coquina and other small mollusks out of the sand at the tide line. Cool shot!

One of my favourite birds - the Curlew. We lived for twelve years with them around us all winter.
I have dithered about joining in for some time since it became apparent that water is a theme in so many of my pictures.
Sorry I put my name on the wrong week, nice shot we get alot curlews up here as there is an estuary nearby.
That is some beak!! He looks quite happy wading there in the water.
His beak is long. I like this picture.
I wonder what he finds to eat with that long beak...Thanks for hosting and happy April Fool's Day...
Meillä Suomessa on tällainen lintu, Kuovi, asustaa soiden ja peltojen laitamilla ja missä on lähellä vettä. Kivannäköinen kuva linnun tepastellessa tuossa vedessä.
What a beautiful bird, great capture.
Like your birdie-photo a lot!
