Hi guys! I'm sorry I missed last week and late this week. I've been more than a little distracted. Car problems and such that have really... well, lets just say I'm still working on trying to get things back on some normal balance in my life. This is one of the spots I like to go after we get a good snow in the mountains. The water from the melting snow always runs through here and looks and sounds wonderful.

Sorry, I'm a little late but I'm here! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was great. It was nice to be with my family. I needed that little injection of love that sometimes only a family can give, especially from the little ones. Okay, mushiness out of the way I hope you're all ready to get your eyes wet! I took this one a few years ago. This is a tad bit of the Pacific Ocean, specifically Santa Monica when viewed from the north facing side of the Santa Monica Pier. Nothing like a view of the beach!

It's another glorious Watery Wednesday and just one step closer to Thanksgiving! I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. Even if you don't live in the U.S. you can still celebrate with us and give thanks for all that you have. We could all complaint but in reality, you have only to open your eyes and look around to see that no matter what you're going through you are still blessed and still have it better than so many other people. There but by the grace of God... I give thanks always and I will add my thanks for each of you who participate each week. And I'm also thankful for this wonderful thing called water. Okay, wet my eyes... please.

Not the clearest shot but I still love this. There is a place I go that has a single stream water feature. I can stand there forever taking shots because each one comes out different. One of these days I'm going to not have to master this digital camera and an F-stop! Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi you guys! I'm so sorry I skipped another week. When I look up from the haze it was late Wednesday. Dang! And here I am again, late but I had to stop everything and just post if for nothing else but to apologize and make sure that you could post your Watery shots. Hopefully I'll get a breather tonight and will be able to visit some of you. You see, our office is moving and my department is one of the biggest. I'm around like a chicken with my head cut off and I've got a cough and we're still just preparing for the move. Anyhoo... miss you guys and all of you wonderful shots. Get a little wet for me, okay!?

This is a shot of some water beads. Have you seen these before? They start off as little pellets. You soak them in water, which they absorb and they come about the size of small marbles. You use them instead of water or dirt for plants and flowers. I thought they were beautiful and very appropriate for Watery Wednesday!

Sorry I'm late. Due to the holiday yesterday I'm off a day. I was just reminded that today is Tuesday, not Monday but... I'm still early for Wednesday. LOL! I'm still living in this work zoo until after the big move so I hope you guys will hang in there and be patient with me until I can visit more of you more often. I hate that I'm missing some great shots I'm sure. Just keep getting those eyes wet and take a drop or two in for me. :-(

Woo-hoo! It's the big 150! Happy Watery Wednesday to everyone. I have to apologize for not being able to visit many of you last week and I don't know that this week will be any better. I'm still trying the public transportation thing and I just haven't had the time to do much. It takes longer than if I were to drive and it is wiping me out!! Last night my 8:05 train was canceled and I had to hang around the train station 'til 9:30 for the next one. Not fun. I took this shot at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens this weekend. It was a beautiful day. I went to see their little butterfly exhibit. In a small pond on the other side of the gardens the turtles were swimming around like crazy!

The perfect summer day and the lake were just two inviting and relaxing. I think the two fellas in the shot below intended to take full advantage of this perfect Sunday. They went and bought a raft, blew it up there by the shore and not to be turned off by the fact that they didn't have any oars, they had bought a couple of shovels to use as oars. I had the best time watching them and hearing them laugh about the shovels. They didn't get far out into the lake before realizing this just wasn't going to work. They still laughed and had a great time. I thank them for my smile and laughter on Sunday.

I'm almost at 100 posts and I still haven't decided what to do. I'll think of something because it is coming up fast. In the meantime, I hope you have those water shots ready for this week. In this summertime heat I'm sure we're all ready to cool our eyes. I don't think I've posted this one before. This is one of my shots from earlier this year at Bolsa Chica Wetlands in Hermosa Beach, California. It's not as sharp and clear as I would like but I still like this shot.

This is another one of my favorite shots. I can't believe I got up early one foggy morning and raced out of the house with my camera to go up to the lake specifically to get some foggy pictures. I love the "mood" that fog creates, especially in black and white.

First, just wanted to say a special thanks to those of you who saw my post last week and left such encourage and supportive words. As long as you all enjoy participating, I will keep this going. So.... it's times to get those eyes wet. AND most importantly, I didn't forget to update the Mr. Linky this week! :-)

My shot this week was a toss up. Did I go for interesting or a pretty shot? I went for interesting and I really wanted to share this. I was walking back to the car at Bolsa Chica Wetlands and I had seen what I thought was a stone in the water. I noticed the same kind of stone was in different spots along the water's edge. When I stopped to really look at it, it was moving!!! It was a huge slug. Sea slug? It's not the best shot but I had to share. This thing was probably the length and width of my forearm just slowly crawling around not far from the water's edge. All in all, not a bad shot considering it is underwater.

SOMEONE THINKS I DON'T CARE

I had to respond to an "Anonymous" comment suggesting that I didn't care enough to visit my own blog once I post. For those of you who have been following this meme for a while you are aware of how busy I've been lately. I miss not being able to spend as much time visiting everyone as I used to.

I set my weekly posts to a schedule posting time. They post when I'm at work and I am sometimes far too busy just to log on to check. I don't catch my errors at time until I get home which is late because of the distance between where I work and live.

If I didn't care I would let time take over completely and not post these weekly memes at all. But I do care and will continue to post as long as there are those of you who are still enjoying this meme. I love that you continue to post though I'm not able to. My weekly smile is knowing that you all are still enjoying getting a little cyber wet each week with or without me.

The good thing about daylight savings is that right now, if traffic doesn't screw me over I can get home in time to catch the sunset up at the lake. Man, what a beautiful and peaceful few minutes to myself. As you can see in the shot below, there were a few people fishing and enjoying that sunset as well.
